As is common with English lyrics for jazz standards, I felt that the lyrics for "No More Blues" did the original composition or its Portuguese lyrics justice, so I rewrote the lyrics of this classic bossa nova standard to flow more like the Portuguese lyrics while retaining much of the original English meaning. Redux in Blue (Rhapsody in Blue) [Arrangement] (Jazz Combo)
Rhapsody in Blue is an iconic piece of jazz-inspired classical music, so I decided to take it back to its roots by arranging it for a jazz combo so it can be properly improvised over. Incidentally, this makes the written portion of the music much shorter since I boiled it down to just its core themes, so I present Redux in Blue.
